< BACK NEXT > 2 of 8 - Unvaccinated population
A single infected (green) person is now introduced on the left.

The disease is so infectious that any susceptibles coming into contact with an infectious person are also infected.

In this model, contact means diagonally or orthogonally adjacent as they move about randomly. Measles is not far off being this infectious.

Infected people eventually recover and are considered immune (blue).

Click Play to watch the disease sweep through the population.

The scenario automatically stops when there are no infections.

Replay (Reset then Play) the scenario a few times if you didn't quite follow what was happening.
